About JING BROWN
BEHIND THE ARTIST
Born in San Francisco to an Australian mother and African-American father, Jing left the US at age three for the shores of Bondi Beach. His multicultural upbringing contributed to a wonderful childhood and helped foster a love for the ocean, nature and open spaces. Influenced by his maternal grandfather, a renowned jazz musician, Jing's early exposure to music set him on his own musical journey. Simultaneously, from his late teens he studied Shaolin Kung Fu, Qi Gong and Buddhist philosophy, earning the name Xing Jing as a 32nd generation Shaolin disciple. Jing lives on the south coast of New South Wales with his family and rescue dogs. A somewhat reclusive individual, Jing 's focus is creating music and song to convey the quirks, joys, craziness and contradictions of the human experience.
